Where we come out The panel shear of this group, and honest about the thickness it was tested at.
The step it removes
Five hundred millimeters of blade turns a job that was three stepped cuts into one pull. On visible edges that is the whole difference.
Bolt it down
A guillotine of this length develops real force at the far end of its lever, and it has to be fixed to something solid to be safe as well as accurate. Plan the bench before it arrives.

What it handles, and what it will not
Strengths
500 mm (19.7 in) in a single stroke: no steps, no witness lines
A published test thickness, which the shorter shears here do not give
Live on all six markets under one reference
Compromises
1.5 mm (0.06 in) is thin — this is a sheet tool, not a plate tool
It must be bolted down to be usable at all
The brand publishes little beyond these two figures

The questions welders ask
Why does cutting in one stroke matter?
Because every restart leaves a mark. A stepped cut shows a small witness line at each stop, and the two segments are never perfectly in line, so the edge is neither straight nor clean. For anything that will be seen, folded or welded along its length, one continuous stroke is the difference between a made part and a modified one.
Is 1.5 mm (0.06 in) a useful capacity?
For sheet, yes — most bodywork, ducting, cladding and boxwork lives between 0.5 and 1.5 mm (0.06 in). For structural work it is not: 3 mm (0.12 in) plate needs a machine several times the price, or a bandsaw and a dressing pass. Buy this for panels and know where it stops.

A named steel grade at a published thickness, in a sheet big enough to cut a bracket from — and the only item in this hub that states what the metal actually is.
Best for: Brackets, repair plates and shop fixtures, where the grade and the gauge both have to be known
