Where we come out A capable cheap cutter whose specification is silent exactly where plasma buyers need it: thickness by material.
At €173 this is the least expensive plasma cutter on the page, and it publishes an unusual thing for the money: the air timings.
The timings are the specification
Pre-flow, adjustable from 1 to 6 seconds, blows air through the torch before the arc strikes — clearing condensate and settling the gas flow. Post-flow, 0.1 to 3 seconds, keeps the air running after the cut so the nozzle and electrode cool under flow rather than sitting red. Consumables are the running cost of plasma cutting, and post-flow is the setting that most affects how many cuts a tip survives.
Most listings at this price do not mention either. That this one gives ranges is a small sign that someone specified the machine rather than badging it.
What is missing, and it matters
No cut thickness by material. Fifty amps suggests roughly the same class as the machines around it, but plasma performance is quoted as three numbers — mild steel, stainless, aluminum — and they diverge sharply. Aluminum typically cuts at around a third of the steel figure. The STAHLWERK machines further down this page publish all three; this one publishes none, and we will not estimate them on its behalf.
No duty cycle either.
Air first, machine second
Whatever you spend here, the cut quality will be decided by the air. Clean, dry, at the pressure the torch wants. A compressor without a water separator will give you a wandering arc, dross on the underside and tips that die in an afternoon — and none of that is the cutter’s fault.

Current, flow timings, trigger modes and display come from the listing’s published specification. No cut thickness or duty cycle is stated there, and none is invented here. Market availability was verified per market on the EAN.

What it handles, and what it will not
Strengths
Adjustable pre- and post-flow, which is what actually decides consumable life
Digital readout rather than a dial
Compromises
No cut thickness published per material — the figure that matters most is absent
No duty cycle stated
Air supply, filter and dryer are extra, and non-negotiable

The questions welders ask
What do pre-flow and post-flow times actually change?
Tip life, mostly. Pre-flow blows air through the torch before the arc lights, clearing moisture and steadying the gas. Post-flow keeps air running after you release the trigger, cooling the nozzle and the electrode while they are at their hottest. Cutting that off too early is the fastest way to burn consumables — so being able to lengthen it is worth more than a few amps.
What do I need besides the machine?
Compressed air that is clean and dry, which means a compressor, a water separator and ideally a small dryer or a coalescing filter. Moisture in the line is the single commonest cause of a ragged cut and a dead tip. Budget for the air before you budget for the cutter — a plasma machine without good air is a machine that disappoints.
