The cup range is the reason to look at this one. Numbers four to twelve span a quarter-inch orifice to three quarters, which is the difference between reaching into a tight inside corner and shielding a wide puddle on aluminum — and no other kit on this shelf covers both ends. The cups are transparent, so the tungsten and the puddle can be seen through them, and the collet bodies are gas lenses rather than plain.

The torch family is stated clearly: WP-9, WP-20 and WP-25, which is the small-torch half of this shelf. The four kits here for WP-17, 18 and 26 share nothing with it.

What lifts the page above its neighbors is a single honest sentence: “The insulating rings may not match the CK Torch.” CK Worldwide torches use the same WP numbers with different seats, and a generic kit can fail to seal in one — two listings on this shelf admit it and five do not. What the page does not do is itemize: forty pieces, with no breakdown by type, no sizes and no part numbers, where the RIVERWELD kit on this shelf lists every piece it contains.

The questions welders ask

What does the cup number mean?

The orifice diameter in sixteenths of an inch. A #4 cup is 4/16 — a quarter inch — and a #12 is 12/16, three quarters. Small cups get into tight joints and concentrate the gas; large cups cover a wide heat-affected zone, which is what aluminum and stainless want. A kit spanning #4 to #12 covers both ends, and on this shelf it is the widest span offered.

Why mention CK torches?

Because they are the common exception. CK Worldwide torches use the same WP numbering but their insulating rings and some seats differ, so a generic kit can seat badly or not at all. Two listings on this shelf name the problem — this one says the insulating rings "may not match the CK Torch" and another says plainly "Do Not Fit CK Torch". The remaining five say nothing, which does not mean they fit.
