Where we come out The one to buy if you intend to compare honestly: both numbers, and the quietest of the group.
Two numbers instead of one
Metabo publishes 250 l/min intake and 130 l/min delivered. That single pairing is the most useful piece of information in this family, because it lets you translate every competitor’s intake-only figure into something comparable.
Sixty-one decibels
Quieter than the machine sold as « silent » eight euros cheaper on this page, and far quieter than the conventional ones. In a garage attached to a house, that is not a comfort feature — it is what decides when you are allowed to work.

The questions welders ask
What does publishing both figures tell you?
That 250 l/min intake becomes 130 l/min delivered — a loss of nearly half. That ratio is normal, and it is exactly what every listing quoting only intake is hiding. Use it as a rule of thumb when comparing: a machine advertising 400 l/min intake is probably delivering around 200.
Is 130 l/min enough for me?
Compare it against your thirstiest tool’s consumption, which is usually printed on the tool. Impact wrenches and nailers use air in bursts and are comfortable. Die grinders and orbital sanders consume 150 to 300 l/min continuously and will outpace it — no 50 L machine on this page keeps up with those.
