A 53-piece box of TIG consumables for the WP-9, 20 and 25 torches is a genuinely useful thing to own: those three series share most of their front end, the parts are small, and losing a collet mid-job stops work. The case alone earns its place.

The listing is another matter. Two of its bullets describe the contents as plasma cutting consumables — “Nozzles are regarded as plasma cutter consumables, they are essential to plasma cutting project” — on a kit whose own title names three TIG torch series. One bullet reads, in full, that “Nozzles and Collets are made of material, and professional technology process”. Five more bullets are empty. The last one is a paragraph about low-temperature impact toughness and pipeline arc welding that describes a filler metal rather than a torch part.

What is missing matters more than what is garbled. There is no breakdown of the 53 pieces, no quantity per type, no sizes and no tungsten diameter — and a collet is selected by tungsten diameter and nothing else. The gas lens on this shelf from STARTECHWELD publishes its part number, its tungsten size, its collet series and the exact cups it takes. Here you are buying a number.

The questions welders ask

Is this for TIG or for plasma?

TIG. The title names WP-9, WP-20 and WP-25, which are TIG torch series, and the first bullet describes a gas lens insulator sealing argon into a welding torch. Two later bullets then say "Nozzles are regarded as plasma cutter consumables, they are essential to plasma cutting project" and call it essential to a plasma cutting project. Those sentences belong to a different listing. The parts are TIG parts; the copy has been assembled from somewhere else.

What is actually in the box?

The listing does not break it down. Fifty-three pieces are claimed across gas lenses, nozzles, collets and cups, with no quantity per type, no sizes and no part numbers — and no tungsten diameter anywhere, which is the figure a collet is chosen by. On this shelf, the STARTECHWELD gas lens publishes its part number, its tungsten size, its collet series and its cup range in five lines. This kit publishes a total.
