STAHLWERK CUT 50 P vs VEVOR CUT-65

Published capability, or the pilot arc that lets you cut rust and mesh?

These two answer different questions. One tells you exactly what it will cut in three materials; the other will start on painted, rusty and perforated metal that stops a contact-start machine.

A tick marks the better answer on that line only. Counting ticks does not decide the page — the two verdicts below do, because these machines answer different questions.

Which of the two, for which metal

Buy the CUT 50 P

Buy the STAHLWERK if you need to know what it will cut. Three published thicknesses by material is the only honest way to quote a plasma cutter, and it is the figure your work depends on.

Buy the CUT-65

Buy the VEVOR if you cut dirty material. A pilot arc starts on rust, paint and grating, and the adjustable post-flow is what makes consumables last.

The questions welders ask

How much does the air supply matter here?

More than the machine. Both need clean, dry compressed air, and moisture in the line makes the arc wander, leaves dross and kills tips within an afternoon. A water separator is the first purchase after either cutter, and a coalescing filter or small dryer is the second.

Is 45 A enough?

For 10 mm (0.39 in) steel cleanly, yes — the STAHLWERK quotes 15 mm (0.59 in) severance, which usually means comfortable clean cutting around two thirds of that. Above 12 mm (0.47 in), or for faster travel, the higher-current machines further up the plasma page are the ones to look at.

The first machine here that publishes its cut thickness for three materials instead of one — which is the whole specification.
