2,200 W · 355 mm (14 in) · €341
A site machine from a brand with a spares chain — and a listing that publishes almost nothing else.
Best for: A contractor who needs the machine repaired locally rather than replaced
Abrasive or cold cut · review
A carbide blade instead of an abrasive disc: no sparks, no burr, and an end you can weld without dressing.
Where we come out The machine that removes the dressing step from every cut. It has to be earning its keep to justify €880.
Into a gearbox that turns a 355 mm (14 in) carbide blade slowly enough to shear rather than grind, and into a frame rigid enough to hold it steady. That is the whole difference, and it changes what leaves the saw: a cool, square, burr-light end instead of a hot blued one with a lip.
Anyone whose next step after cutting is welding or painting. If every cut currently gets a minute with a flap disc, count that minute across a year and the price starts to look like arithmetic rather than luxury. For occasional work, it is not.
Every figure above comes from the manufacturer’s published specification for this reference. Fields the listing does not publish are left out rather than estimated. Market availability was verified per market on the EAN.

That the blade shears chips out of the steel instead of grinding it away, at a much lower rim speed. The energy leaves in the chips rather than as heat in the workpiece, so the offcut stays cool, there is no blueing, no shower of sparks, and the cut face is clean enough to weld or paint as it is. The saw also runs far quieter.
Differently rather than higher. An abrasive disc is cheap and wears out fast; a TCT blade is expensive, lasts a very long time in steel, and can be resharpened. The risk is different too: a blunt abrasive disc simply cuts slowly, whereas a carbide blade that catches an unclamped workpiece loses teeth, and that is an expensive noise.
