Seventy-nine pieces is the largest number on this shelf, and it is almost the whole of what this listing tells you. There is no breakdown by type, no sizes, no part numbers — just the count, the torch series, and a list of the inverter brands those torches tend to arrive with.

What it does say, and says better than anyone else here, is what it will not fit: “Do Not Fit CK Torch”. CK Worldwide torches use the same WP-17, 18 and 26 numbering with different insulating rings and seats, and a generic kit can seat badly or leak. Of seven kits on this shelf, two mention the problem; this is the one that states it as an instruction.

Against that, two of its five bullets are pasted from somewhere else. One is the paragraph about “excellent plasticity, toughness and crack resistance, especially low temperature impact toughness higher” and pipeline arc welding, which describes a filler metal rather than ceramic cups and copper collet bodies — the same paragraph appears on two more listings on this shelf. The other claims an electrical conductivity “most closed to 2% thoriated tungsten electrode”, on a kit that contains no tungsten. For a buyer the count and the CK warning are the page; the rest is wallpaper.

The questions welders ask

Is a higher piece count better?

Only if you know what the pieces are. Seventy-nine is the largest number on this shelf, and the listing does not say what any of them is — no sizes, no types, no part numbers. A kit of seventy-nine pieces that is mostly one cup size is worse than a kit of forty that spans #4 to #12. The two kits on this shelf that itemize, at 63 and 68 pieces, are the ones whose coverage can actually be judged.

What is the CK warning about?

Fit. CK Worldwide torches share the WP numbering but differ in their insulating rings and seats, so a generic kit can seat badly or leak gas. This is the only listing on this shelf to state it as a flat instruction — "Do Not Fit CK Torch" — rather than as a maybe. On a page with no other specification, it is the most useful line on it.
