Where we come out The version to buy if rust is your daily material — and treat the brush with more caution than the wheel.
Sixty-six euros, a 350 W S6 motor, and a wire brush wheel already fitted — which is what most people actually use a bench grinder for.
Rust removal is the real job
Ask anyone with a bench grinder what it does most weeks and the answer is rarely « sharpening ». It is cleaning up: taking rust off a bracket, stripping paint from a bolt head, cleaning a weld before painting. A brush wheel does that in seconds and does not remove metal, which is exactly right on a part you want to keep the dimensions of.
Bought separately, a decent brush wheel is a meaningful fraction of the price difference between this machine and the plain TC-BG 150.
Two things to know before switching it on
S6 is an intermittent rating. The 350 W applies to bursts with rest between them, not to continuous work. It is the same idea as a welder’s duty cycle, and it is why a bench grinder used hard for twenty minutes gets hot.
A brush wheel throws bristles. At speed, a shed bristle is a fine needle traveling fast. Safety glasses are the minimum and a face shield is the right answer, and the work belongs below the wheel’s center line so anything thrown goes downwards.

What it handles, and what it will not
Strengths
A brush wheel fitted, not sold separately — the job most people buy a bench grinder for
A published wattage and duty class, which its cheaper sibling lacks
Live on all six markets
Compromises
S6 is an intermittent rating: this is not a machine for continuous work
A brush wheel throws bristles — a face shield is not optional
Intermittent periodic duty: the motor is rated to run at that power for part of a cycle and rest for the remainder — typically expressed as a percentage over ten minutes. It is the bench-grinder equivalent of a welder’s duty cycle, and it means the 350 W figure describes bursts of work rather than an hour of continuous grinding.
Is a wire brush wheel dangerous?
It demands respect. Brush wheels shed bristles at speed, and a bristle traveling from a 150 mm (5.91 in) wheel is a needle. Safety glasses are not enough — a full face shield is the correct protection, along with keeping the work below the center line so anything thrown goes down rather than up.
