This is the machine that makes the rest of the page look expensive: 200 A, three processes, synergic feed, €160. It appears in the top of the German sales ranking for its category, so a lot of people are buying it. Here is what we can verify and what we cannot.
The reference carries a real EAN, and that EAN resolves to the same product on the German, American, French and Italian stores. That already puts it above the many listings in this category with no EAN at all, which cannot be traced across a border. The listing states 200 A, MIG/MAG under gas, gasless flux-cored and MMA, synergic wire feed, and 0.8 mm wire.
No duty cycle. Without it, 200 A is a peak. Every inverter has a thermal limit, and the honest ones publish the percentage of a ten-minute period they can weld at a given current and temperature. Assume you are buying a machine that welds comfortably at 120 to 140 A and reaches its ceiling in bursts.
No manufacturer address, no warranty term, and a part number given as « 001 ». Compare with the IPOTOOLS machine on this page, which costs €16 more and publishes a company, a street and a seven-year term. That difference is the whole argument between the two.
No stated torch fitment. If it is not a Euro connector, contact tips and liners come from whoever imported the machine, for as long as they carry it.

The current claim usually is, briefly. What is missing is the duty cycle — how long it holds that current before thermal protection cuts in, and at what ambient temperature. A machine that delivers 200 A for thirty seconds in ten minutes is telling the truth and is not the machine you thought you bought. When the figure is absent, treat the maximum as a peak, not a working current.
Consumables and repair, not danger — these units carry CE marking and thermal protection. The risk is that the torch takes tips nobody else sells, and that when the feed roller wears or the board fails there is no address to send it to. On a machine at this price that may be an acceptable trade; it should be a decision, not a surprise.
